The Group Tours Sales Coordinator, under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for pursuing and attracting group tours to generate revenues for all Kewadin Casino locations. The position is responsible for providing attentive, cheerful, courteous, professional customer service to all customers, internal and external, striving to always exceed their expectations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)


  • Pursues business by soliciting group tour operators and leaders.                              
  • Travels to represent Kewadin Casinos at trade shows and other industry events.                             
  • Meets with operators and leaders to develop business relationship to benefit casino operations.       
  • Sends sales kits and other promotional materials to potential customers and does necessary follow-  up.
  • Prepares contracts and other paperwork as necessary.                                                                   
  • Researches casino competitor incentives.                            
  • Makes sales and reservations for motor coach groups.                                                                   
  • Generates required reports for all incentive programs.                                                                     


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)


  • Prepares trip reports as requests.
  • Maintains Kewadin Travel/Group Tours contractual clientfiles.
  • Develops incentive proposals and strategies to recruit tours for Kewadin Casino.  
  • All other job related duties as assigned.




Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate supervisor/manager, managers in other departments, executives, customers and outside vendor/service providers.  




Position sedentary primarily sitting and lifting maximum of 10 pounds.  Physical factors include constant sitting, use of hearing, near/midrange/far vision, depth perception, typing; frequent walking; occasional standing, carrying/lifting, pushing/pulling, use of color vision, and bending. Working conditions include frequent exposure to noise and air quality and occasional exposure to weather. Potential hazards include constant computer use.





Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.


Experience:  One year of experience working with Casino software, Springer Miller, Delphi, Coachworks, Tour Management and Dollars on the Net preferred.


Certification/License: Must undergo a Criminal background investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and ability to use word processing and spreadsheet and data base software. Knowledge of general tour industry preferred. Must have excellent public relation/customer service skills and be able to exhibit a friendly and positive attitude. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.  Must have organizational skills and be able to plan, prioritize and manage work load to meet goals in a timely manner.  Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work under pressure and handle difficult situations. Must be able to work extended hours when needed.  Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Native American preferred.




REMUNERATION:             $12.98 per hour
