The Human Resources Training Coordinator for Gaming, under the direction of the Kewadin Casinos HR Director and is responsible for coordinating all Kewadin Training Programs and department activities and providing office administration within the Kewadin Casinos HR Training Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
• Assemble, print, and distribute monthly Kewadin Casinos training, calendar, and material.
• Develop and conduct all Kewadin orientations (in-person and/or online) training information, schedule, registration, and onboarding material in a timely manner or as needed.
• Coordinates room schedule, virtual training, material, and the equipment needed for conducting trainings for Gaming.
• Create a monthly Kewadin Casinos training schedule. Ensure accuracy and a variety of dates and times are offered for each course.
• Responsible for course development reflective of manager/supervisor feedback, needs, and requirements.
• Organize and develop a Gaming Training Library to include various tools, such as manuals, references, multimedia visual aids, and other supportive educational tools.
• Schedule and set-up audiovisual equipment and communicate effectively to attendees and management.
• Maintain employee and gaming departments training records for Kewadin Casinos HR.
• Document each and every (completed) team member trainings into JDE.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
• All other job-related duties as assigned.
CONTACTS: Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate supervisor/manager, managers in other departments, Executive Board of Directors, and outside vendor/service providers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position light with lifting of 20 pounds and frequent lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds. Physical factors include constant use of hearing/near vision and typing; frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, carrying/lifting/pushing and pulling of office supplies and small equipment; stooping, reaching, manual handling, midrange/far/field of vision, and driving and bending. Working conditions include occasional exposure to weather/extreme cold. Potential hazards include constant computer use and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, electric shock, infectious exposure from contact with public and equipment, and occasional travel. Protective equipment includes hazard kits with protective gloves, masks, etc., and personal protection equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of two years administrative experience in Human Resources, Training, or Organizational Development required.
Certification/License: Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Must comply with annual driver's license review and insurability standards with the Sault Tribe Insurance Department. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: There are a number of deadlines associated with this position. The employee must be able to handle frequent interruptions, must also multi-task, and interact with a wider variety of people on various and, at times, complicated issues. Must uphold all principles of confidentiality to the fullest extent. Ability to maintain valid driver's license and insurance for use of a privately-owned vehicle for business purposes. Good project management skills and ability to apply these skills in effective working partnerships across organizational lines. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize/prioritize work and manage multiple tasks and projects. Ability to demonstrate a strong customer service orientation. Good written and verbal communications skills. Ability to present a professional demeanor in all interactions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors and the community. Strong computer background with skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Power Point software. Ability to be accountable, dependable, reliable, and customer oriented. Ability to make use of time in an efficient and productive manner. Ability to work and contribute as a team player. Ability to deal with stressful situations on the phone as well as in person. Knowledge of basic operation of workstation (turning on/off, knowledge of basic functions and components) and general office equipment. Knowledge of use, storage, and maintenance of multiple usernames and passwords. Knowledge of computer-related problem-solving skills through the use of available trainings and help desk. Native American preferred.
