The Slot Floorperson, under the direction of the Slot Supervisor, is responsible for performing basic slot machine repairs and minor project work.  The position is responsible for providing attentive, cheerful, courteous, professional customer service to all customers, internal and external, striving to always exceed their expectations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)


  • Accesses slot machine compartments to do basic slot machine repairs and minor project work.
  • Assures slot machine compartments are kept secure.
  • Assists in jackpot payout process.
  • Assists Slot Technicians as needed.
  • Complete and submit all essential paperwork as required; slot slips, fill slips, credit slips, etc.
  • Provides attentive, cheerful, courteous and professional service to all customers.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)


  • Complies with company and departmental policy and procedures.
  • All other job-related duties as assigned.






Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate manager/supervisor, managers in other departments and customers.




Position medium with lifting of 50 pounds maximum and frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds. Physical factors include constant standing, walking, use of hearing, near vision; frequent carrying/lifting/pushing/pulling, reaching, manual handling, use of midrange/far/color/field of vision; occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending and use of depth perception. Working conditions include frequent exposure to noise and air quality, frequent extreme heat/cold/wet/humidity, and vibration. Potential hazards include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to electric shock, chemicals and infectious exposure.




Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.


Experience: Experience working as a Slot Floorperson preferred.


Certification/License: Must undergo a Criminal background investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission. 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of casino operations preferred. Knowledge and ability to make appropriate decisions in the workplace is required. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. The ability to work alone or in a team setting. Knowledge and ability to work with all brands of slot machines preferred. Must have excellent organization skills; organizing work, prioritizing tasks and managing time. Must be able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisory personnel, coworkers and the general public. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work extended hours when needed.  Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be self-motivated. Must maintain confidentiality. Native American preferred.
