POSITION SUMMARY:
The Concessions Worker I, under the direction of the Events Manager, is responsible for performing store-keeping functions for the concessions, including processing, receiving, and stocking inventory orders, setting up store layout and displays, performing opening, closing, and store operations procedures, maintaining store safety and security, proper preparation, serving and handling, sanitation, storage and disposal of food and beverage.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
- Prepares and serves food and beverages.
- Operates cash register to itemize and total customer purchases, collect payments, and make change.
- Reconciles register drawer, verifies register totals against cash on hand, and processes employee charges. Performs general cleaning duties within the Concessions area, including walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer, and storage areas.
- Keeps shelves and products clean and organized while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Cleans and sanitizes store and equipment.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and freezers with the inventory.
- Performs physical inventory and cycle counts.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
- Working in other areas of the facility such as Reception, Pro Shop, and Weight Room during extremely busy traffic flow throughout the facility as needed.
- All other job-related duties as assigned.
CONTACTS:
Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate supervisor/manager, managers in other departments, customers, and outside vendors/service providers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium with the lifting of 50 pounds maximum and with frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds. Physical factors include constant standing, and walking, use of hearing, smell, near/midrange vision; frequent pushing/pulling, stooping, reaching, manual handling, use of far vision, bending; occasional sitting, climbing, kneeling, use of depth perception and color/field of vision. Working conditions include frequent exposure to noise and occasional exposure to extreme heat/cold. Potential hazards include constant client contact and equipment and food service machine use.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: One year of customer service and/or food handling experience preferred.
Certification/License: Will be required to undergo and successfully pass a background check. Must maintain a good moral character standing. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have excellent public relations/customer service skills and be able to exhibit a friendly and positive attitude and establish and maintain effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, and guests. Knowledge of safe food handling techniques and practices is required. Knowledge of point of sales systems is preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly in person, in writing, and by telephone and email. Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills are required. Math skills are required. Must be able to analyze situations carefully and adopt effective courses of action. Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to respond to difficult and stressful situations in an efficient, effective, and positive manner. Must be able to promote good public relations in a cooperative, productive working environment. Native American preferred.
